Jon McCulloch, Sure Group Enterprise Sales Director Jersey commented: “It was fantastic to lead the Red Team to victory on Saturday night with Giorgina Marzana from Sure. It was an amazing experience and it was an honor to work with such a great bunch of people, learn from such talented Chefs and meet John Torode. We raised thousands for two very worthwhile causes and everyone had a great meal. After a 15-hour day cooking in the kitchen I have a new perspective on what it like behind the scenes in a restaurant. I shall be sticking to my day job but I am delighted to have had the opportunity!”
The mission of Jersey Cheshire Home is to enhance the lives of the disabled residents and their families. Whether through activity in the pool or gym, day care or respite they continue to support some of the most disabled people in our community. The vast spectrum of facilities provided to support the many needs of the residents require constant maintenance, reinvestment and upgrade to enable the continuation of the high standard that is so important in enhancing the wellbeing of everyone who uses Jersey Cheshire Home.
Luke’s House is a new charity born out of the personal experience of one of our team members at Freedom Media. Darren’s son Luke was born very prematurely and as a result suffers from cerebral palsy. On a recent trip to India, Darren witnessed firsthand the stark difference in the level of care and opportunity for support for disabled children there. In conjunction with existing contacts in India this new charity has been formed and a home will be built called Luke’s House that will give these children hope, a home and medical care. Money raised from this event will help to build specialised facilities and provide trained staff.
